All Night Jazz represents the highest form of programming for any station that purports to cover the latest and best of what it’s listeners enjoy and need. We need jazz that elevates the mind more than repetitive news or ear candy stories.(Petition on Change.org)

i’ve seen what has happened at other stations that have slashed their jazz programming. no new gains in listenership happened, and lots of loyal listeners took their ears and money elsewhere. It is a shortsighted, lemming-like decision that does not serve your listeners and your community. I hope you will reconsider. (Petition on Change.org)

It would be such a loss to our music community to lose this show. Spiritually, intellectually and artistically. Jazz is a salve for the soul, and a spark for the jaded. (Petition on Change.org)

I listen to jazz on this station every night. I love sharing my evening with wonderful music. Not interested in a news program at that time of day/night. (Petition on Change.org)

Ugh! This is a travesty – I love All Night Jazz. The last thing we need is more news. Please WUSF – stay unique, offer what can’t be heard elsewhere, and keep educating your listeners about the joy of jazz. Nothing cheers one in the wee hours of the morning like the sound of Simon…

All Night Jazz is essential to the well being of jazz in our area. It’s a resource to learn what events are upcoming and “meet” new performers. PLEASE RECONSIDER! (Change.org)

What’s the problem over there? Are they just soulless bean counters with no concept of providing enrichment for the community? Do they get a big bonus for saving the university system money? Something is rotten over there. (Facebook, 10/20)

Jazz was the reason I’ve been a WUSF Cornerstone member. I don’t need news late at night. I’ll find another jazz station to donate to. (Twitter, 10/21)

After nearly 60 years, Jazz radio in Tampa Bay is now dead! Such a great loss to our local jazz community on many levels. (Facebook, 10/19)
